From teachers’ training to the creation of a community of practice and learning: elaboration and dynamics of a process

This article describes an action research carried out in kindergartens of Athens by a team of teachers, in collaboration with a University professor who had the role of a critical advisor. We will describe the way in which we progressively put together a collaborative network, and the process through which we developed the team dynamic within a reflective framework of learning and acting: first between the primary school teachers and the students of the Department of Early Childhood Education, and then between the teachers and the faculty professor. We will in fact describe how we tried to- and to some extent achieved – a community of practice.
